The weather is crisping, and the holidays are approaching, which means you’ll be looking for ways to entertain out-of-towners and kids on their days off from school. Austin has you covered with plenty to do, from luminariums to art exhibits. Check out our top five picks for arts and cultural events in Austin this coming season.

Prepare to be dazzled. The Long Center’s returning exhibit features the Pentalum luminarium — a large, inflatable dome structure — and offers an immersive light and color experience. You can choose to crawl through tunnels, walk the curving paths, or simply sit in a pod and enjoy the view. Kids and adults alike will find simple joy in the illuminated, lifesize art structure.
