B*Tru Arts Academy X*TRA is a performing arts after school program intended to enrich the curriculum of local schools, both public and private, by providing affordable pre-professional classes in dance, acting and playwriting for students looking to explore and develop their creative and expressive selves.
Our programs enhance the learning gained in academic work in local schools by providing students the highest quality performing arts education. It is our goal to help facilitate an environment that supports creative thinking, physical awareness, self esteem and personal growth.
B*Tru Arts Academy also offers training at all levels of skill for those seeking a career in dance or theatre arts. B*Tru Arts provides supervision of instructors by Aisha Melhem who holds a Master of Arts in Theatre with an emphasis in directing from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre specializing in acting from St. Edward's University. Aisha is the artistic and academic director of all educational programs.
